NBC is focusing on harvesting the personal genome data and translating the sequence codes to genetic disease or epigenetic disease biogenesis pathways. By integrating personal diagnostic data, the genome information could be well interpreted in context of system biology domain: modeling the middle black box with the input of DNA and RNA sequence information, output of protein and metabolite biomarker information. Therefore, regular and irregular biological mechanism could be checked and monitored with the right understanding of basic biology. Once the potential disease gene or mechanism is identified, small molecules and biomolecules drug candidates could be proposed to treat the disease. Not necessary restrict to western medicine, traditional Chinese medicine could also be utilized when there is a match of the disease phenotype in western medicine and Chiese medicine.
NBC dedicates to tackle cancer and other chronic disease like diabetes by collecting the best understanding from basic research: how will a gene product be produced, regulated, translated, functioned and degraded; what factors are having impacts in those process; how to manipulate the impact process with intelligent design or high throughput screening to identify the best "hit", etc.

NBC is devoting to sponsor better research meeting in small size, such as New England RNA Data (NERD) club meeting. By bringing talented brains and hands in different RNA research fields together and communicate, it will generate tremendous knowledge power to explore uncharted area.
NBC also pioneered in starting a new open source journal for researchers and doctors, called "Translation". The journal name carries three meanings: RNA translation to protein; language translation; translational research. The journal merges the formats of conference poster and research letter into electronic bulletin format for viewing research paper on mobile platform. The journal will provide templates for writing research paper, simplifying the research paper syntax and layout to minimize the human intervention in translating research paper from English to other languages (or backwards) using computer softwares.
